Slovenia has our hearts. This beautiful country shares a border with Italy and is less well-known for its wines, many of which are made honestly, 'naturally' if you will. We usually like to write the wine notes ourselves but the description from Grape Witches is IT.

The house red wine of our dream Eastern European sports bar, all woodsy, dusty and deeply satisfying with Foosball in the corner. Meet ‘Festival’, a highly consumable red blend of Pinot noir (light freshness!), Refošk (herby inky acid!) & Cabernet Sauvignon (structure & savoury tannin!), from Istria, Slovenia. Korenika & Moškon are family-owner biodynamic winery championing delicious wines made consciously. Expect a gently brooding, leathery nose balanced by calendula, Ikea lingonberry juice box, blood orange squeeze & fresh wine gummy package. At first sip, plums, overgrown herbs, ripe raspberry jam and the comfort of a denser dose of tannins. Pair with stuffed cabbage rolls, campfires and calling your mother.
